Bloggone it!

The Ideas blog in the New York Times noted that Technorati reported 94% of all blogs are inactive. (See "Silence of the Blogs.") I can't help but think that I am close to being inactive on this blog. I have this personal hang-up that I need to write something that is extremely profound or insightful.

"Bloggone it!" was a comment from one of the readers about this finding. Time to be less insightful I guess.

I watched Napoleon Dynamite the other night with a friend in the RAM program. I didn't do much reading about it beforehand but I did some research afterwards. I guess there are a few "Mormon curse words" in the movie where a proxy is inserted into the dialogue instead of using an actual curse word. I guess the movie is also much funnier if you are of the LDS faith. I thought the movie was funny just the same. In the end, I decided the movie was a love story between Napoleon and Deb, couched in random but subtle, deliberate steps, that ultimately leads to a non-random outcome, namely a joint tetherball game on the school playground. It's kind of like the white feather at the beginning and end of Forrest Gump.

Random is what random does.
